The GrooveBarbers were formed in 1999 when Sean Altman, Steve Keyes, Charlie Evett, and Kevin Wiest joined forces to get back to their roots and bring back great old barbershop songs in their signature “street corner” style. Since then they’ve been polishing off forgotten gems from the early days of Rockapella, and moving into new styles such as barbershop-jazz versions of well known holiday songs in their album Glory.

In 2006 the group was selected to appear on national television as The Astelins, a super-group of songsters who come out of the sky to perplex and relieve allergy sufferers everywhere.

Their latest turn has taken them into YouTube with their rendition of the famous aria O Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini, in a new Doo-Wopera setting with soprano Inna Dukach.
